I've seen the reviews on this movie and it's deffinently a chick-flick. Great chemistry between Anthony Franciosa and Jean Simmons. Despite its weak ending, it's a great romantic comedy. It's, I guess you could say, that type of movie we girls like where the inexperienced girl gets a job at a rough night club, falls for one of the guys who runs the place, a guy who's been around, who's constantly getting her out of trouble while trying not to fall in love with her.
This movie is one of those rare treasures because it's not widely known. It has a great cast that includes Paul Douglas and Joan Blondell. It also has great music with Ray Anthony and His Orchestra and Julie Wilson singing some really great songs. Although this is a B movie it is deffinently worth watching. You can catch it on TCM from time to time, and if you love it as much as I do PLEASE don't hesitate to vote for its release to DVD.
